New Release 1.5.1

Here’s a new release with a couple of smaller changes.

Desktop version window handling

There were a couple of issues around saving and restoring window positions, especially in multi-monitor setups. I had to dig in deep, since some of the underlying Flutter libraries weren’t really doing their job in multi-monitor setups with different scaling on Windows. But I think things should be working nicely now when saving and restoring window positions across all monitors. Let me know if any funkiness still occurs!

Also, LivePrompter will now allow you to save window positions slighly left of the left edge of the screen – for those of you that want to squeeze the last few pixels from your screen real estate. Putting the edge of the LivePrompter window exactly on the left edge of the screen will actually require a slightly negative window position (there’s an invisible border around windows), so I had to make provisions for that.

For full-screen display on multi-monitor systems, there is now a drop-down menu in Settings -> Desktop Display that allows you to select the monitor on which you want to show LivePrompter in full-screen mode. The drop-down menu shows your active monitors with their positions and sizes, so you can find the correct one. Once you set “Full Screen” to on, LivePrompter will be displayed on that specific monitor.

Hide Slash Chord Roots

For those among us who won’t play complicated chords and who don’t care what the bassist is playing, I created an option to hide the root part of “slash chords” (e.g. for C/G, only the C is now displayed). If complicated chords scare you or are just inconvenient, this can help clean up things for you, while your other band members still can enjoy the full slashy glory of those chords.

Simply go to Settings -> Song Display -> Hide Slash Chord Roots and set it to “on”.

Other stuff

This release fixes some floating point number issues on iOS and MacOS with some settings slider values being displayed incorrectly (e.g. showing 49 instead of 50).

That’s it – go and download from your favorite App store or from the Download section!
